Should a tie occur between two or more teams, division standings will be decided according to the following prioritized guidelines:
The following formula is used to determine final standings if two or more teams are tied.
- Results of matches between the tied teams.
- Goal difference in games between the tied teams.
- Goal Difference: By deducting goals against from goals for, the team with the better (higher) goal difference shall be awarded the higher standing.
- Goal difference in all ACAC regular league games.
- Most goals scored in regular league play.
- Fewest goals conceded in regular season play.
The top two (2) men's teams in a Division shall advance to the Conference play-offs. For a division that contains a championship host, only the top (1) team will advance while the host is reserved a spot in the Conference play-offs. The next highest ranked teams in each division will play in a series of play-in games for the last divisional playoff spot for the Championships. Final league standing will be used to determine if the host has finished in the top three in their respective division and shall be ranked accordingly.
Championship Play-in Game
The last remaining play-off spot will be played at the highest seed within each division between the next two highest ranked teams that have not secured a berth for the ACAC Soccer Championship. The play-in game will be played on the Tuesday before the Championship. Teams are re-ranked sequentially from the regular season standings going into the Championship.
