Should a tie occur between two or more teams, standings shall be decided according to the following priorities:
- Most wins during the regular season.
- In games between tied teams the team with the most points from regular season head to head games shall be the tie-breaker.
- Regulation wins take precedence over OT wins.
- In games between the tied teams in a regular season series, the team
with more wins gets the higher placing, as regulation wins take
precedence over OT wins in deciding placements. - Goals for minus goals against for each of the tied teams. The team with
best differential earns the higher placing. - Consideration of games played versus the highest placed team not in the tie, followed by the next highest placed team, etc. Regulation wins
take precedence over OT wins. - Consideration of goals scored and allowed versus the highest placed team not in the tie, followed by next highest placed team, etc.
Note: Where a multiple tie occurs and is only partially resolved by the application of the tie breaking rules, the remaining ties shall be decided by returning to priority number 1 and working through the order again.
The 1st and 2nd place teams earn byes in the first round (quarter-finals). The winners from the quarter-finals will move on to play against the 1st and 2nd place team. The lowest seed will play against #1 ranked while the second lowest seed will meet the #2 ranked team. All series are best of 3 games. If the competing teams are within 400 km, it will be a home & home series with the highest seed hosting games 1 & 3. If the competing teams are more than 400 km, the highest seed will host all games in the best of 3 series.

- Series A: #6 vs #3
- Series B: #5 vs #4
Semi-Finals (Best of 3)
- Series C: lowest remaining ranked team vs 1st place team
- Series D: second lowest remaining ranked team vs 2nd place team
ACAC Championship Finals (Best of 5 Series)
- Gold: Winner Series C vs Winner Series D
- Bronze: the highest ranked team losing in Series C or Series D
