CALGARY, ALTA., (Sep. 18, 2022) – The SAIT Trojans men's soccer team remain undefeated on the season after a convincing 6-0 win on Sunday afternoon over the Lethbridge Kodiaks.
The Trojans were in full control of this game from the get go, and had several chances early to get on the board before Brock Mitchell (1st year, Open Studies) opened the scoring at the 14-minute mark. The flood gates opened after that, as both Kwasi Oteng and Senay Haile found the back of the net before Mitchell was able to once again convert for his second of the afternoon.
By halftime, the Trojans held a commanding 4-0 lead, and didn't let off the gas there. Haile was able to score his second of the afternoon to give him a league leading six goals on the year. Shortly after, Mitchell was at it once again, sending home his third of the evening past Kodiaks goalkeeper Finn McCann.
With the victory, the Trojans have improved to 4-0-0 on the season, as they alongside Keyano College remain the only undefeated teams in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). They will look to make it 5-0-0 next Sunday as they get set to take on the Ambrose Lions.
