Penalty Kick by Procter ties Game

For the second day-in-a-row, the visiting Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves managed to tie the host Keyano College Huskies in an Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference men's soccer match held at Shell Place's SMS Equipment Stadium.

Due to red cards handed out in Saturday night's game, Huskies were without the services of Haidari Ssekanjjako, goalie Jonathan Bruggeling and leading marksman Neto Miguel (eight shots to date).

Huskies opened scoring Sunday with Shariffe Kamaldin connecting at 15:40.

Huskies went ahead 2-0 at 20:05 with a perfectly pitched lob by Eduardo Filho from 37 yards out.

Filho, a two-time ACAC North All Conference selection, celebrated by running to the sidelines to high five a few young Huskies fans.

Wolves had two late first half attempts, a header at 37:12 and 11-yard rocket at 39:08, both ricocheting off the right goal post.

Wolves scored at 52:02 with Richard Illenseer getting credit.

A penalty kick by Aiden Procter in extra time beat Huskies goalie Julio Meirelles for the final 2-2 score.

Each team managed 22 shots on goal.

Huskies Player of the Game was midfielder Vuyisile Dube. Fifth-year student/athlete Benjamin Collingwood had the nod for the Wolves.
