Keyano College Huskies 55. University of Alberta Augustana Vikings 42

In 2018-2019 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference regular season play the Huskies and Vikings met four times with the Vikings winning the first two encounters on their home court 78-65 Friday October 19, 2018 and 77-71 Saturday October 20, 2018 while the Huskies came up on the winning side 63-52 Friday February 15,2019 and Saturday February 16, 2019 66-47.

 

In this their fifth tipoff of the season it is a semi-final game at the 2018-2019 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Basketball Championships on Huskies home court at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray Alberta.

 

Tip Off

Surprise role player Georgia Sherstan has seven points to spark Huskies to a 23-20 halftime lead in front of more than 400 fans.

Huskies slight edge on boards 22-19.

ACAC leading rebounder Huskies Moiyan Toure has 10 of those.

Toure and Augusta Kievisaite who averaged 28 points between them during the season only have four points between them shooting 1-for-10 while Kievisaite has three fouls.

Vikings guard Alyssa Banez has five points.

Vikings doing well at free throw line 6 of 8 while Huskies struggling 5 of 13.

Vikings Hannah Mitchell ties the game 36-36 with seconds remaining in the third only to have Sherstan come back with a drive at the buzzer to make it 38-36

Game is on.

A great final 10 minutes with Toure coming on strong.  Kievisaite picks up her game for a winning cause.

Vikings POG Emma Vanbruinessen 8 points 11 rebounds.
