CALGARY, ALTA., (March 3, 2018) — The Olds College Broncos defeated the NAIT Ooks 78-54 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Basketball Championship Consolation Final played Saturday afternoon at SAIT.

 

Brittney Thibeaux went off, scoring 33 points and adding 21 rebounds, while teammate Kristina Bajovic added 15 points to lead the Broncos to victory. Sydney Hurlburt responded with 15 points and six rebounds in a losing effort for the Ooks.

 

Thibeaux was named the Earl's Kitchen and Bar Player of the Game for Olds College. Kika Greenlee was named NAIT's Player of the Game. The two were also named as Second Team Tournament All-Stars, earning a prize pack from Big Chief Beef Jerky.

 

Olds College finishes the tournament with a 2-1 record. NAIT finishes with a 1-2 mark.
