NWP Wolves host Kings University Eagles

The Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves host The Kings University Eagles in their final home game of the season.  

Wining the first point of the set is the TKU Eagles #2 Chris Rooker. Responding with a vengeance is #10 Josh Dumont with the kill. #17 Chad Morrison with the Wolves kill to have NWP lead 4-1. TKU catches up early and lead the game 6-5. The Wolves answer by tying the game 6-6. As the set moves back and forth the Eagles find their footing to gain a lead of 12-9. The Wolves will substitute in #13 Corom Gregson as the score sits at 13-11 for the Eagles. Calling the first timeout will be NWP as they trail the Eagles 17-13. Straight out of the timeout, the Wolves will take the point. Staying ahead The Kings University Eagles will lead 21-18 as Northwestern Polytechnic call a second timeout. The set won by an Eagles kill, the first set concludes 25-20 for the Eagles.

Set 2 is underway and the Eagles win the first point as two-touches is called on the Wolves. As TKU takes an early lead 5-1, the Wolves bench calls a timeout. With an out-of-bounds serve by the Eagles the Wolves will gain service out of the timeout. The Eagles will push ahead to extend their lead 8-3. As #11 Carter Roflik aces his serve, he brings the Eagles lead to 15-6 and the Wolves call a timeout. TKU going strong will extend their lead 21-12. Polishing off set two the Eagles take it 25 to the Wolves 15.

Eagles take points 1 and 2 of the 3rd set. Battling hard, the NWP Wolves trail TKU Eagles 7-9. Tying up the game is the Wolves #10 Josh Dumont 11-11. After much back-and-forth play, the Wolves call a timeout as they trail the Eagles 19-17.  Returning from the timeout the Wolves take a point. The Wolves tie up the game 20 apiece and the Eagles call a timeout. The Wolves take the lead 21-20 coming out of the timeout. The Eagles tie the set 23-23 as the Wolves call a timeout. Determined to not be stopped, the NWP Wolves take the third set 27-25.

Into the 4th set, the Wolves will take the first point. Quickly denying the Wolves lead, the Eagles will pull ahead 4-1. As the Wolves fall behind the Eagles, NWP will call a timeout at 10-6 for TKU. #11 Josh Watson makes the kill for the Wolves out of the timeout. TKU's # Chris Rooker makes a block to extend the Eagles lead 15-8. NWP calls timeout #2 as The Kings University Eagles lead the set 19-10. With 3 points made coming back from the timeout the Wolves bring the scoreboard 13 to the Eagles 19.  After an intense push by the Wolves, they fall to the Eagles 25-18 in the 4th set.
