MVB| Clippers cut Broncos in a three-set win

Caronport, SK- The Briercrest Clippers and the Olds College Bronco's played in a match that only lasted for three sets as the Briercrest Clippers swept the game.

At the start of the match, the Clippers and the Broncos played a neck and neck first set. Midway into the set, the two teams tied the game at 14-14. Both tried to push momentum, but this only led to what became 25-25 late in the set. However, the Clippers pulled ahead and took the next two points, grabbing the set 27-25.

The next set was more one-sided for the Clippers. Olds tried to push back after the Clippers led 16-9 in the set, but unfortunately for the Broncos, they could not capture this set, losing 25-14 to the on-fire Clippers.

In what would be the last set of the match, the Broncos pushed hard in an attempt to mount a comeback. Moving ahead the Clippers led 14-11, but Olds pushed back and trailed right behind Briercrest for the set coming down to a 22-21 score for the Clippers. Then the set got crazy as the Broncos took the Clippers into overtime all the way up to a 33-33 tie. But the Broncos could not press on, ultimately losing 35-33 to the Clippers once again in this exhilarating set. The score of the match were 27-25, 25-14 and 35-33.

Players of the game were #7 Thundersky Walkingbear for Olds, with 6 digs, 15 kills, and 1 ace, and #14 Jorge Morales for Briercrest with 9 digs and 2 assists.

Quote from Morales, "I'm thankful for the opportunity I had to play my last games in the Hangar. I appreciate the effort the guys made tonight to get the win. We didn't give up even when the opponent kept pushing us. We are excited to get another chance to play tomorrow." Morales is playing his last home games of his fifth and final year in the ACAC.
