The game starts with the unveiling of an ACAC Men's Volleyball Championship banner for the Keyano Huskies men's volleyball team which captured gold at last year's provincials defeating Lethbridge College Kodiaks.
Set 1 showcases the talents of Huskies rookies No. 13, Jaro Cunha, 6'8", Left Side, College Prep, RIo de Janeiro, Brazil and No. 15, Athus Silva, 6'6, Middle, College Prep, Compis, Sao Paulo, Brazil as the duo dominate at the net with their kills and blocks.
Thunder stay close while sending three blockers to the net on the defence and tipping to the Huskies open court in front of the back row.
Huskies take the set 25-21.
Despite a distinctive height disadvantage, the Thunder win Set 2 by a 25-21 margin. A set in which Cunha limped off after landing awkwardly against the officials standard.
Set 3 has Cunha returning with a kill, giving the home side a 12-9 lead. Cunha will get the point of the night when a Thunder spike goes off of his forehead and lands for the Huskies point 21-19.
Set 4 finds Huskies celebrating a 25-22 decision.
