Kings over Trojans in three sets at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre

Red Deer, AB – The Kings had 23 kills from Regan Fathers and wrapped up a three set victory (25-20, 25-19 and 25-21) over the visiting SAIT Trojans at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

With 10 kills from Regan Fathers in the opening set, the Kings captured a 25-20 win. Jarrett Noel recorded seven kills for SAIT.

The RDC Kings used the momentum and earned a 25-19 victory in the second. Andrew Burchill had six digs over both sets for the Trojans. Isaiah Stime and Regan Fathers had four each for the Kings.

The Kings kept pressing and defeated the Trojans 25-21, winning the match in straight sets. 

Jonathan (JJ) Graham totaled nine kills, two stuffs, one dig, one ace and one assist. Thomas Wass accumulated 39 assists, two digs and two stuffs for RDC.

For SAIT, Nathan Goss had 30 assists, three digs, two kills and one ace. Jarret Noel was strong with 15 kills will hitting for 43.5 per cent efficiency.

Regan Fathers was selected as the Kings Player-of-the-Game, stacking up 23 kills, five digs and three aces. Tyler Latu'ila received the award for the Trojans, contributing 11 kills, three digs, one ace and one assist.

On Saturday at 8:00 p.m., the second place Kings (16-5) will compete against the Trojans (12-7) in Calgary.
