Lakeland finally got the start they've been looking for in a big game this season.
Facing the formidable Keyano Huskies, the home side got off to a great start, with striker Sam Dosumu scoring twice and adding an assist in the first half. Despite significant pressure from the Huskies, keeper Nic Filipovic held strong, making several spectacular saves and getting some help from the iron.
In the second half, Dosumu added another assist on a tally by Yassin Hassen, giving Lakeland an insurmountable four-goal lead.
Lakeland pulls within a point of Keyano in the standings, making Sunday's rematch critical.
