Kings Take Home Bronze

Lloydminster, AB - Lakeland College would play against Red Deer in Lloydminster to see who would win bronze in the ACAC. The match would be 1 - 0, ending the first half with Red Deers #18 Thomson Wellie scoring in the final seconds to give Red Deer a slight advantage going into the second half. The second half would mainly be played in the center of the field without either team breaking through the other's defence. This was until Lakeland College's #11 Hani Tekheste would score in the 83rd minute, followed very closely by #10 Giordano Ciccacci in the 90th minute. This game looked like it was going to finish 2 - 1 for Lakeland, but with only 5 seconds left, Red Deer would tie the game sending the match into overtime.  

The overtime periods would solve nothing.  Red Deer Kings would win in penalty kicks, 5-4 to take home the bronze medal.
