Kodiaks Score 7 in Victory over Lions

The Kodiaks scored early and often in this Saturday afternoon affair held at SAIT.  Tonight's game pace and feel was very different compared to the previous night's game vs Medicine Hat.  What was a scrappy, physical game yesterday, tonight's game was more of a finesse and speed game.  Jimmy Buruku continued to establish himself as one of the league's best offensive players scoring 3 times tonight, while Sodiq Adekunle (POG) also showed offensive brilliance scoring twice and assisting on another.   While the Kodiaks did put up 7 goals, there were many opportunities that were snuffed out from Goalkeeper Matthew Stacey (POG).  It took the Lions 40 minutes to muster up their first shot on goal of the night as Nathan Polonenko put a strike on net to test Cody Fergusen.   Fergusen was up to the challenge even after seeing so little action for such a period of time.  He earned himself the both the win and a clean sheet for his performance.
