Rustlers Home opener

Lakeland college Men's soccer team took on the Concordia Thunder sunday afternoon. Lakelands large rookie group got there first chance to play on there home field in front of their home crowd. The Thunder hit lakeland with an early offensive push, but lakeland was able to hold off for the first half. Two minutes into the second half Concordia got there chance to get the games first goal, Bhinder put a beautiful shot on goal with a even better tip to put the ball into the back of the net. Zach Wagner really showed his leadership throughout the game as he took control and helped the young rustlers put on a great show. Concordias Player of the game Acevado Helped push the Thunder To there win, he played a crucial role controlling the pace of the game. The Rustlers relentlessness late in the game wasnt enough to put score on the outstanding goal tending by Scott Hornbeck. The two teams put on a spectacular show for all spectators.
