Day 2: Red Deer College Kings vs Concordia University Thunder kick off Game 5 of the 2020 ACAC Men's Basketball Championships

To kick off day two of the 2020 ACAC Men's Basketball Championships the Red Deer College Kings play the Concordia University Thunder. Heading into the last few minutes of the first quarter, the score is close as teams are neck-in-neck with each other with a tied score of 18-18. After the first quarter, both teams remain tied at 25-25. 

Heading into the second quarter, both teams continue to show their energy and momentum in the game. Half way through the quarter, the Kings and Thunder tie up the score with a 37-37. 

AT halftime #15 for the Thunder made two 3's bringing their team in the lead 48-42 against the Kings. Talk about an entertaining game to watch. These teams are working hard and it is showing on the scoreboard. 

In the first minute of the third quarter, off the bat the Kings shot two 3's tying the score 48-48. Their momentum was evident throughout this quarter as they had a strong comeback against the Thunder. At the end of the third, Kings were ahead of the Thunder 69-60. 

The Kings built off their energy from the previous quarter and continued to play strategically. Half way through the last quarter, the Kings gain numbers on the scoreboard and got ahead 82-68. The Thunder called a timeout to restrategize their play but the Kings continued to gain points with the help of a few 3's and took the final win of 95-76.

The 2020 ACAC Men's Basketball Championship Player of the Game presented by Shaun Lal on behalf of Cargill, was awarded to Thunder player, #15 Ronald Bacon Jr. and Kings player, #4 Anthony Harper
