Game 2: Red Deer College vs Keyano College of 2020 ACAC Men's Basketball Championships

Following the championship game of Sait Trojans and Concordia Thunder, the RDC Kings are now up against the Keyano Huskies this afternoon at 3:00 PM. Both teams brought their highest performance today and resisted losing any momentum throughout the game. The first quarter started pretty tight as both teams scored respectively throughout the first 4 minutes. At the end of the first quarter of the game, Keyano Huskies took a lead 24-15 against RDC Kings. The game started to get heated up as soon as the second quarter began. RDC Kings, who was currently losing almost half of the points from Keyano Huskies, got their momentum back and started to catch up to their opponent's team. RDC called the first time-out of the game after Keyano Huskies #18, Noah Horobetz Simpson, blocked one of the RDC Kings players to score some points. The game continued and the RDC Kings consistently got more baskets. As RDC Kings score was getting closer to the Keyano Huskies, Keyano decided to call 2 time-outs in a row in this quarter. Even after some new strategies made through the time outs, Keyano's performance was still slowing down. The second quarter ended with a tied score between both teams with the score of 43-43. After the half-time, Keyano Huskies started the third quarter strong as they impressively scored 23 points within 5 minutes, putting them back into lead again. The Keyano Huskies were in the lead throughout the third quarter and ended the quarter with 70-60 against RDC Kings. Starting the fourth quarter with impressive energy, Keyano Huskies were able to score 13 points and "forced" RDC Kings to call a time-out as they only scored 7 points in the fourth quarter so far. The second game of the afternoon, ended with the Huskies winning the match against the Kings with a score of 103-79. The 2020 ACAC Men's Basketball Championship Player of the Game presented by Mira Rhynold on behalf of Cargill, was awarded to Huskies player, #21 Stefan Jovcic and Kings player, #13 Tyronne King.
