Strong Second Half Leads Lightning to Defeat Lions

The Lightning pulled off the 81-61 win over cross-town rival, Ambrose University Lions, with a big second half. Down as much as 10 in the first quarter, the Lightning got the game back within two points to be down 35-33 at halftime to the Lions. With a strong second half by the whole team, the Lightning outscored the Lions 48-26 to take the win, shooting 47% in the second half, while the Lions shot 24%. The ACAC Players of the Game went to the Lions' Riley Cordwell, who had 17 points and 5 rebounds, and the Lightning's Caleb Jipp who had 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. The Lightning are now 7-9 on the season holding on to the fourth playoff spot, and the Lions are 7-7 on the season.
