2024 ACAC Golf Championships - Day 3
The final day of the 2024 ACAC Golf Championships brought high-stakes competition and thrilling finishes.
SAIT Trojans held strong, clinching the men's team title with a cumulative score of +14 after a -6 start on day one, a +14 on day two, and a solid +6 on the final day. The NAIT Ooks closed at +54 after an improved final round at +8. Medicine Hat Rattlers put in a stellar final-round performance, jumping ahead of Concordia Thunder to secure their spot at the CCAA nationals, finishing at +60 overall, seven strokes ahead of Thunder.
In the individual men's competition, Michael Valk sealed his third consecutive ACAC title with a dominant -12 total score. Malcolm Garrity finished second at -6, while Jadan Patel stayed even for the championship.
On the women's side, Concordia Thunder ran away with the team title, finishing at +49. NAIT Ooks and Medicine Hat Rattlers followed at +121 and +129, respectively.
Individually, Ella Gifford captured her third straight women's title at +23. Lauryn Psutka, after her outstanding opening round, set a new personal best with a 75 in the final round, finishing second at +26. Ella Dolan rounded out the top three at +29.
