ACAC Golf Regional #1 Day Two Recap: Winds Shake Things Up

Day two saw much cooler, windier conditions that added another layer of difficulty to the already challenging course.

Despite the change in weather, Michael Valk continued his excellent form, finishing the tournament at a stunning 9-under-par (-9) to claim the individual title for the men's competition. Jaden Patel of SAIT secured second place at +6, while NAIT's Mason Gorksi finished third with +7.

For the women, Concordia's Lauryn Psutka held her lead, finishing first with a total score of +33 over two rounds.NAIT's Ella Dolan took second place with +35, and Ella Gifford from Concordia claimed third with +46.

Team Results

The team competition on the men's side saw a dramatic shift. SAIT Trojans surged to first place with a combined score of +52 after two rounds. Medicine Hat College finished in second with +58, while NAIT came in third at +67.

On the women's side, Concordia comfortably secured first place with a total score of +79. NAIT Ooks and Medicine Hat College tied for second with +111.

The ACAC Golf Regional #1 proved to be a memorable event, with challenging weather and fierce competition throughout.
