Two days in the books at ACAC Curling Fall Regional

Red Deer, November 24, 2018 – On the second day at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Fall Regional, the student-athletes fine-tuned their craft and increased the level of competition at the Pidherney Curling Centre.

In the men's division, the NAIT Ooks continue to roll and have an unbeaten 4-0 record to sit at the top of the standings. At 11:30 a.m., they downed the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings 9-1 and then defeated the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder 8-1 in the evening draw.

The RDC Queens lead the women's teams over two days with a 4-1 record. In the morning, the Queens picked up a 6-1 decision over the U of A Augustana Vikings. They edged Olds College 7-6 and then won 8-1 over Lakeland College.

Among the mixed curling teams, the Lakeland College Rustlers lead the way, going 4-0. They defeated RDC 9-2 and then earned an 8-3 victory over the Olds College Broncos.

All three divisions will compete at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
