2025 ACAC Men's Volleyball Coaches of The Year

Edmonton, AB (February 19, 2025) –

North Male Coach of the Year | DEVIN VARGA | Augustana Vikings:

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce Devin Varga of the U of A - Augustana Vikings, has been named the 2024-2025 ACAC Men’s Volleyball North Conference Coach of the Year.

Varga is currently enjoying his fourth season as head coach of the U of A - Augustana Vikings Men’s Volleyball program. This season the Vikings finished with a record of 8 wins and 11 losses, clinching the final spot in the ACAC Championship tournament for the first time since the 2018-19 season. No stranger to ACAC awards, Varga was a two time ACAC All Conference setter for the Vikings when they last won the ACAC Championship in 2015.

“Devin would be the first to suggest that this is a team award, however Devin and his staff have challenged themselves to grow their program and culture each year. It’s been so much fun to see all of the hard work beginning to pay off for the student-athletes and coaching staff. Devin works tirelessly and this will be great for him to celebrate along with his wife, Brooke and their six week old daughter, Zoey.” - David Ritz, Business Operations Coordinator - Vikings Athletics.

This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2025 ACAC Men’s Volleyball Championship hosted by Lakeland College from February 20-22.
