Hossein Ahmadi made an unforgettable impact in his debut season in the ACAC, delivering clutch performances when it mattered most and etching his name in The King’s University badminton history.

Ahmadi played a critical role in securing King’s third ACAC Team Championship, with one of the most thrilling matches of the tournament. In a high-stakes battle against NAIT, he had to win his men’s singles match to clinch the championship for his team—had he lost, King’s would have fallen short. Rising to the occasion, Ahmadi delivered under pressure, securing the victory and the title for his squad. His standout performances throughout the year earned him well-deserved recognition at the ACAC Banquet, where he was named to the ACAC Men’s All-Conference Team and awarded ACAC Rookie of the Year. But Ahmadi wasn’t done yet. In a rematch of his intense singles showdown from the previous day, he once again emerged victorious—this time claiming the prestigious ACAC Men’s Singles Championship and bringing the title home to The King’s University. With his incredible first year behind him, Ahmadi now turns his focus to the CCAA Nationals, where he will represent King’s in Men’s Singles. As a first-year Bachelor of Commerce student from Iran, his debut season has already cemented him as one of the top emerging talents in collegiate badminton.
