ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Nathan Woyessa demonstrated exceptional speed at the 2024 CCAA National Cross-Country Championship in Windsor, ON. Leading the SAIT Trojans to a standout performance, Nathan crossed the finish line first with a remarkable time of 24:25 over the 8km course, outpacing 96 competitors.
The Trojans dominated the men’s title with four top-10 finishes, including contributions from Max Thiessen (4th place, 24:52), Moktar Said (9th place, 25:26), and Yahye Jama (10th place, 25:19). This team effort secured SAIT’s 2024 CCAA Men's title banner, their first team gold since 2022.
Nathan’s victory was even more memorable as it coincided with his birthday, adding a personal triumph to the team’s success. His performance earned him the prestigious CCAA All-Canadian honor, an award recognizing exceptional student-athletes for their athletic excellence, leadership, and sportsmanship.
