Nathan Woyessa, SAIT Trojans, Cross-Country

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
This past weekend, at the ACAC Championship, Woyessa captured his second consecutive first-place finish, clocking an impressive time of 25:50—three seconds faster than his previous year’s performance. His remarkable consistency highlights his commitment and positions him as a standout competitor within the conference as he gears up for national challenges.
With the CCAA Nationals in Windsor, Ontario, on the horizon, Woyessa is determined to improve upon his 17th-place finish from last year. Balancing his athletic commitments with his studies in the Software Development program at SAIT, he exemplifies the essence of a dedicated student-athlete. As he prepares for the national stage, Nathan’s successes over the past two seasons with the Trojans, and drive for improvement suggest that he is ready to leave his mark on the competition, representing SAIT with a shot at a National Championship.
