Trojans fall to Lions in 4 sets

Calgary, AB- In a hard-fought matchup, the SAIT Trojans Women's Volleyball team faced a tough challenge against the Ambrose Lions, ultimately succumbing to a 3-1 defeat.

In a hard-fought matchup, the SAIT Trojans Women's Volleyball team faced a tough challenge against the Ambrose Lions, ultimately succumbing to a 3-1 defeat. The Lions dominated the first two sets with scores of 25-16 and 24-17, showcasing their prowess on the court. The Trojans, however, rallied in the third set, securing a convincing 25-9 victory. Despite their efforts, the Lions sealed the win with a narrow 26-24 triumph in the fourth set. Noteworthy performances emerged on both sides, with #8 Willow Lewington claiming player of the game honors for the Lions with an impressive 11 kills. For the Trojans, #6 LeeAnne Arnott matched Lewington's kill count, leading her team's offensive charge. The Trojans' player of the game was awarded to libero #7 Emileigh Inglis for her exceptional defensive contributions throughout the match.
