Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) committee was formed in March 2021 to support the creation and continuation of an environment that promotes and welcomes equal opportunity, safety, and respect for all those within the broad and extended ACAC community.

The committee's purpose is to educate ACAC student-athletes and staff on REDI topics, and to encourage students to break down discriminatory barriers and promote social inclusion in sports. The ACAC REDI committee is working on implementing several educational initiatives.

Ensuring reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the ACAC is vital, and every student-athlete should feel safe and represented in their sport. The ACAC REDI committee plays an essential role in achieving this goal.
