The Huskies came out strong in the first set with quick kills from Amanda Onyeukwu helping them into a 5-0 lead. After a slower start and quick time out, the Ooks returned to the court with renewed energy, quickly cutting down Keyano's lead. Anika Dyck made some outstanding digs for the Ooks, usually an outside hitter, Dyck quickly took to her role as libero. Kills from the Ooks' Charlotte Vandenelzen pulled them ahead with less than 5 points left in the set. The Ooks won the set 25-22.

The second set saw the Huskies start strong again, taking an early lead at the hands of Karlene Kaminski. The two teams went point for point, with both programs displaying strong defence. The Ooks eventually took the leads thanks in part to kills from Mattea Callihoo and Vandenelzen. At 18-14, the Huskies took a time out hoping to disrupt an Ooks points run. Despite these efforts, the Ooks took the second set 25 – 20.

The see-saw battle continued into the third set with both teams delivering offensively. Megan Polant from the Huskies placed an early kill that took the Huskies into an early lead. Slowly but surely the Ooks fought back, gaining ground with kills from Anna Atcheynum and blocks from Mattea Callihoo. With their lead still in place Keyano sprinted to the finish, ending the set at 25 – 15.

At the start of the fourth set, the Ooks sent out Egypt Trydal as their setter, hoping to disrupt the Huskie's momentum. The Ooks soon led the set with McQueen capitalizing on a receiving error from the Huskies. The Huskies struggled to find their footing, receiving errors and miscommunication causing them to fall behind the Ooks. The Huskies' Marlo Rathmann provided energy for their offence as the team tried to rally and push the game into a 5th set. The Ooks took their final time out at 23-15, hoping to keep their momentum and finish the match. The Ooks won the final set 25 – 21
