NAIT nabs road win in Olds

The NAIT Ooks took care of business on the road, defeating the Olds College Broncos in four sets (25-23, 25-20, 20-25, 25-13) at the Ralph Klein Centre on Friday.

Charlotte Vandenelzen turned in a dominant performance for the Ooks (2-4) as she finished with 16 points (14 kills, two aces) and nine digs, while Mattea Callihoo finished with nine points (eight kills, one ace) and 11 digs, and Tanisha McQueen added eight points (five points, two blocks, one ace) of her own.

For the Broncos (0-8), Lexi Lafreniere paced the attack with 11 points (seven kills, two aces, two blocks) and 12 digs, while Kendall Pavicic added eight points (seven kills, one block) and four digs, and Dani Bryant registered a game-high 15 digs to go with six assists.

Both teams will be back on the court tomorrow at 6 p.m. as NAIT will host the SAIT Trojans, while the Broncos will welcome the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves.
