Kodiaks beat Rattlers in four.  Earn first win of the season.

On Friday November 10th, 2023 the Medicine Hat Rattlers hosted the Lethbridge Kodiaks in the SnakePit. 

Both teams came out with a winning mentality in the first set. Rallying vigorously throughout the set, and not letting any errors within their play on the court. #3 Anica Haberstock of the Medicine Hat Rattlers showed off her offensive kills, tallying a total of 7 impressive kills within the first set. On the Kodiaks side of the court, #12 Kourtney Serfas showed her defensive tactics, pulling 5 digs up. The Kodiaks found themselves victorious in the first set, winning the set 26-24. 

Lethbridge showed how they can play offense in the second set. Putting up 11 kills as a team, helping Lethbridge secure this set win. #1 Taryn Bach of Lethbridge showed her passing abilities within the second set, giving her teammates 9 assists. While #1 Olivia Jacobson of the rattlers also showed her assist ability, putting 11 assists on the sheet. Lethbridge walked off the court above Medicine Hat 25-19 in this set, making it a 2-0 game. 

Medicine Hat found a rhythm and slithered their way into a groove for the third set. In Medicine Hats winning set, #12 Kadence Wiggins showed she was an asset in the kill department, putting down 4 kills throughout the set. #1 Taryn Branch of Lethbridge retaliated and dug 9 hard hit balls throughout the set. The Medicine Hat Rattlers get their first set win of the night, winning 25-23. The score of the game stands at 2-1. 

In the final set of the game, Lethbridge pushed into Medicine Hat, and in the end became victorious. #2 Abby Sauder of the Kodiaks proved to everyone how great of a killer she is, putting up a nice 6 kills in this set win. #1 Taryn Branch of the Kodiaks still kept on the offensive push, throwing up 7 assists throughout the set.
