Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves host the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens

The first set of the game gets underway as the Queens pick up the first two points. Emily Rathbone ties the set up at 8. Using the momentum, the Wolves take the lead by two. Coming back after back-to-back timeout calls the RDP Queens retake the lead with a set score of 19-16. The RDP Queens take the first set 25-19.

Second set begins with the Queens serve and a Queens point. Not to be left behind, Helaina Zeyha ties up the game at 2 apiece. Alexa Hryciuk enters the game as they regain the serve with the score 8-4 for the Queens. Wolves call a timeout as RDP continues to lead at 11-4. Evangeline Zeyha with a big block to return service to the Wolves as they trail the Queens 21-11.  Rachel Perry ends the second set in favor of the Queens 25-12.

As the third set is underway, the Wolves take the first point. Morgan Boisvert from the Queens with an ace serve to take the lead over the Wolves, 6-5. Keeping it tight, the Wolves tie it up 8 each. Going back and forth RDP ties it up at 12. The Wolves call a timeout as the Queens lead 14-12. The Wolves regain the lead 20-18 as Evangeline Zeyha serves an ace. With an out of bounds hit by the Queens, the Wolves take set 4, 25 to 21.

In set four, the NWP Wolves take the early lead 4-1. Emily Rathbone with the Wolves kill to extend their lead 9-3. With a Wolves timeout called, RDP trails NWP by three points, 18-15 for the Wolves. Out of the timeout, the Wolves take 3 points to continue leading. In a strong comeback the RDP Queens take the set 27-25 and win the game.
