(EDMONTON, AB) In a tightly contested match at the Edmonton Scottish Soccer Dome, the Huskies and the Kodiaks battled it out, with the Huskies ultimately prevailing by a score of 1-0. The game was marked by a relentless display of athleticism and determined play.

The match began with a series of notable events. Marissa Mestre of the Huskies took a close shot at the Kodiaks' goal in the 9th minute, but Kodiaks' goalkeeper Samantha Burgis made a crucial save. As the game progressed, Marissa Mestre had another opportunity for the Huskies at the 32-minute mark, but Samantha Burgis made yet another vital save. Nathalie Andersson of the Huskies took a shot at the 40-minute mark, narrowly missing the target, and Kodiaks' Kyra Piekema had a shot at 44 minutes, which also missed. The score remained deadlocked at 0-0 at halftime.

The second half saw a goal from Marissa Mestre for the Huskies, assisted by Harleen Singh, in the 66th minute, giving the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Further substitutions took place for both teams, with Malorie Hanson entering for the Kodiaks at 80 minutes and Rofyda Khaleel and Natalie Grey coming in for the Huskies at 84 and 89 minutes, respectively. The game witnessed an additional 5 minutes of added time.

Despite numerous attempts, including a shot by Rofyda Khaleel of the Huskies, the score remained 1-0 in favor of the Huskies at the final whistle.
