Ooks End Regular Season With A Bang As They Defeat The Eagles 2-0.

The time has come for the seniors of the NAIT Ooks Women's soccer team to play their final home game at St. Albert Soccer Association today, and they are matched up against The King's University Eagles.

Looking to bounce back from their 4-1 loss back in September, the Eagles started the game with a strong offensive presence. This was met with an equal level of determination from the NAIT Ooks, who scored the opening goal at the 8-minute mark of the game, courtesy of #3 Irelyn Spelt. This increased the Eagles' resolve as they executed their game plan to even the score. NAIT Ooks demonstrated their offensive prowess when they nearly scored another goal, but the heroics of TKU's goalkeeper, #01 Isabell King, denied the shot from finding the net. After moments of back-and-forth play between the teams, the first half ended with a 1-0 lead in favor of NAIT.

Halftime adjustments proved to be crucial for both teams as they elevated their level of play to gain momentum in the game. In the 60th minute mark of the match, NAIT's #12 Angelina Quaia scored another goal for the home team, extending their lead to 2-0. Unlike the first half, the Eagles displayed a sharper focus on their goal, demonstrating improved ball control and passing to create scoring opportunities. Both teams showcased their determination in the final 10 minutes of the game by preventing any further scoring. Congratulations to NAIT Ooks' graduating players #9 Ahlam Abubaker and #16/1 Toni Burse for their outstanding careers.

The players of the game were #16 Toni Burse for NAIT and #3 Lauren Palmer for The King's University.
