WSOC | Kodiaks Win Homecoming Game

Kodaiks win against the Medicine Hat Rattlers in their homecoming game.

The Kodiaks and Rattlers go head-to-head in the pouring rain looking for a win. Both teams move back and forth around the field looking for their opportunity to score. Kodiaks #14 Montanna Rousselle scores the first goal of the game, shortly after Rattlers #10 Keandra Leslie ties up the game with the Rattlers first goal. The teams continued to fight in the rain through the whole first half with lots of good chances for the Kodiaks but the Rattlers held up their defence. The half came to an end with a score of 1-1.

Back for the second half, both teams found great chances to score but Kodiaks keeper Samantha Burgis and Rattlers keeper Abby Lalach saved nearly every shot. Kodiaks #8 Kyra Piekema found her chance to score assisted by #14 Montanna Rousselle bringing the score up to 2-1 for the Kodiaks. The Rattlers kept up their game through the rest of the half but could not get past the Kodiaks. The game concluded with a score of 2-1 for the Kodiaks as they leave their last home season game with the win.
