Lakeland remains alive in the playoff hunt, with just three games remaining on the schedule.

The Rustlers hosted the first of two home contests on Saturday, with the Portage Voyageurs in town. In a scoreless first half, Lakeland struggled to put the ball past goalkeeper Lizzie McLeod, but going against the wind in the second allowed them numerous chances, where they soon put the game out of reach. Sidnay Blechinger, Darian Pluhator and Gracey Smithson all had multiple point games, with the latter winning Player of the Game.

The Rustlers now face NAIT on Sunday in what could decide the third seed in the North Division. Game time is 12:00 PM.
