Thunders win 2-0 against the Ooks.

The first 64 minutes of the game were played on 09/17/23 at SASA. Due to poor air quality, it has been postponed, and the continuation of the River Valley Derby happened today at Clarke Stadium, Edmonton.

Abigael Burton's well-executed goal gave Concordia Thunder an early lead at 10 and half minute of the game. Both teams displayed strong defense, with NAIT Ooks narrowly missing several opportunities to level the score. Concordia maintained their lead but was thwarted by NAIT Ooks' goalkeeper Toni Burse's exceptional saves. Abigael Burton scored another goal before the first half ended.

The final 26 minutes of the game are packed with action, with both teams gearing up for their second match this coming weekend at the Thunder's home turf. The NAIT Ooks had a couple of corner kicks that the Thunders defended well, and on their side, the heroics of Ooks' goalkeeper did not let any goals in from their fantastic offense.

The players of the game are #15 Abigael Burton for Concordia and #9 Terra Atymichuk for NAIT Ooks. Watch both teams face off again this coming Saturday, October 14, at Jasper Place Bowl.
