Thunder top Huskies to take over North Division lead

The Concordia Thunder claimed a 3-0 win Sunday in Fort McMurray against the Keyano College Huskies to take over the top spot in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference's (ACAC) North Division.

Breanna Callander opened the scoring in 34th minute, followed by a goal from Audrey French in the 37th minute. 

Controlling a 2-0 lead through to halftime and into the second half of the second half, Abigael Burton iced off the game in the 71st minute to round out the scoring. 

In net, Madison Kempster turned aside all four shots on goal that she faced, earning her second shutout of the season. Goalkeeper Delanie Berrette took the loss for the Huskies in the decision. 

Kempster earned Player of the Game honours for her side while Ayla Taller collected Player of the Game honours for the home side.
