The Trojans defeat the Broncos

The SAIT Trojans Women's Soccer team came out ready to prove a point on Sunday, ready to avenge a tough loss to Lethbridge yesterday. SAIT dominated, outshooting Olds College 30-9 and rolled to an 8-0 win, improving their record to 6-1.

Right from the start it was clear SAIT was ready to play, putting early shots on net while not letting Olds College generate any scoring chances. It only took 10 minutes for the Trojans to get on the board, with a goal from #19 Rachelle O'Leary assisted by #3 Amy Fallows.

Before the 20-minute mark SAIT had put up another 2 goals, 1 from #13 Nicole Harlow and the other from #9 Meagan Wiebe. It was very clear SAIT wanted to prove something after yesterday, and they did so by having a 3-0 lead in the 17th minute.

#6 Saige Joseph got into the action in the 34th minute, scoring a beautiful goal from #9 Meagan Wiebe. At the half, the Trojans led 4-0.

SAIT came out flying in the second half, too, scoring just 4 minutes in. #19 Rachelle O'Leary potted her second of the game, with another assist going to #9 Meagan Wiebe. After more pressure from the Trojans, #3 Amy Fallows scored an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute to give them a 6-0 lead.

After tons of chances and narrow misses all game, #9 Meagan Wiebe scored 2 more goals, giving her the hat-trick and the Trojans the 8-0 lead they would take to the end of the game.

SAIT will look to continue their great play next weekend, playing AMB on Friday and UAA on Sunday.
