Women's Soccer Huskies top Voyageurs at home

Marissa Mestre recorded the first hat trick of her Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) career as the Keyano Huskies Women's Soccer team rolled to a 7-0 win on their home turf Sunday afternoon, beating the visiting Portage College Voyageurs to improve to 3-0-0 on the season.

Selena Arima opened the scoring with her second goal of the season in the eighth minute of the game, followed in the 17th minute by Mestre's first of the game. Closing out the first half, Natalie Orellana added her second of the season.

While the Huskies were relentless with their attack, Voyageurs goalkeeper Ashley Tweedy saved her team as their last line of defence on multiple opportunities. However, the Huskies wouldn't be denied forever as two more goals from Mestre and the first career ACAC goals from Ayla Taller and Alouet Agar featured in the second half.

Tweedy earned Player of the Game honours for the visiting Voyageurs while Mestre claimed the honorus for the victorious Huskies.
