NAIT Ooks Defeat The Lakeland Rustlers 2-0

On Saturday afternoon, the NAIT Ooks women's soccer team faced off against the Lakeland rustlers women's soccer team at St. Albert Soccer's Association, Edmonton AB.

Right from the start, the intensity of the game was off the charts, and both teams demonstrated their skills on both offense and defense. At the 5-minute mark, #6 Lamisi Sirette from the NAIT Ooks scored a quick goal, giving them an early 1-0 lead. The game continued to unfold with astonishing plays on both sides. The Lakeland Rustlers had a couple of corner kicks that they just narrowly missed, adding to the excitement. At the 44-minute mark close to half time, the NAIT Ooks extended their lead with a goal by player #2 Sarah Weremczuk , assisted by #12 Angelina Quaia. At the end of the first half, the score stands at 2-0 in favour of the NAIT Ooks.

At the start of the half ,  both teams elevated their intensity and physicality. The heightened physicality led to an increase in fouls from both sides, but it remained a friendly competition throughout. Both NAIT and Lakeland showcased their prowess in both offensive and defensive aspects, with both teams having numerous opportunities to score. The goalkeepers made a series of fantastic saves against the formidable offensive efforts from both sides. 

As the referees blew their whistle, NAIT Ooks won the game 2-0 against the Lakeland Rustlers. The players of the game are #6 Lamisi Sirett for the NAIT Ooks and #14 Darvan Pluhator for the Lakeland Rustlers.
