SHERWOOD PARK, Alta. – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks earned the title of 2019 ACAC Women's Soccer Championship Bronze medalists, with their 1-0 win over the SAIT Trojans on Sunday at Emerald Hills Sports. Pavilion.
Lethbridge opened up the scoring when Dairy Holmes sent a beautiful header past SAIT Keeper Amy Offredi to put the Kodiaks up 1-0. Holmes' goal ended up being the game-winner handing the Kodiaks the victory and bronze medal.
"I thought the first half of the game was one of our best all year, second half we got a little scrappy," said Kodiaks head coach Sean Carey. "All in all, I think it was it was a good year. The girls played hard and earned a medal.
Dairy Holmes (Leth) and Mackenzie Georgsen (SAIT) were named Powerplay Sports player of the game. Both Holmes and Georgsen were named to the Kick's Sports All-Tournament team.
