LAKELAND RUSTLES UP A DOZEN GOALS IN VICTORY OVER VOYAGEURS

LAC LA BICHE – The Lakeland College Rustlers rode scoring by committee to  a convincing 12-2 victory over the Portage College Voyageurs at the ACAC North Regional at the Bold Center Saturday morning. Sarah Mandeville, Gracey Smithson, Annika Brown, and Darian Pluhator each score twice while Kayla Mondue, Leah Rioux, Sidney Blechinger, and Katelyn Dyck added solo tallies for the Rustlers. Karyl Cuesta and Ashley Hennenfent replied for the Voyageurs. The result brings the Rustlers' record to 1-1 while the Voyageurs drop to 0-2. Team records will carry forward to the next regional tournament, to be held at the Bold Center February 2-4. The top three teams from the two regional tournaments will qualify for the ACAC Championships March 8-10 in Lac La Biche.
