RUSTLERS SILENCE WOLVES AT NORTH REGIONALS

LAC LA BICHE – Annika Brown scored twice, helping to lead the Lakeland College Rustlers to a 5-2 win over the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves at the ACAC Futsal North Regional at the Bold Center Sunday afternoon. Megan Hockley, Gracey Smithson and Leah Rioux also scored for the Rustlers while Emma Ecclestone and Chantelle Kirk replied for the Wolves. The result brings Lakeland's record to 3-2 while NWP drops to 1-4. Team records will carry forward to the next regional tournament, to be held at the Bold Center February 2-4. The top three teams from the two regional tournaments will qualify for the ACAC Championships March 8-10 in Lac La Biche.
