OOKS SQUEAK OUT VICTORY VERSUS RUSTLERS

LAC LA BICHE – Toni Burse, Sarah Weremczuk and Sasha Pietramala scored and Carly Speelman played a stellar game in net, leading the NAIT Ooks to a 3-2 win over the Lakeland College Rustlers at the ACAC Futsal North Regional at the Bold Center Saturday afternoon. Kayla Mondue and Darion Pluhator replied for Lakeland. The result improves the Ooks' record to 2-1 while the Rustlers fall to 1-2. Team records will carry forward to the next regional tournament, to be held at the Bold Center February 2-4. The top three teams from the two regional tournaments will qualify for the ACAC Championships March 8-10 in Lac La Biche.
