Broncos drop Rattlers 4-0

It was a great Saturday night for hockey in Medicine Hat, as the host Rattlers took on the Olds College Broncos in women's ACAC action.  In the first of two-weekend games against each other, the Broncos found the back of the net twice in the opening period to take a 2-0 lead into intermission.  The second period was a back-and-forth battle and neither side could beat the stellar play of the two netminders.  Jessika Charron for the Rattlers and Lacey Friesen from the Broncos turned away every shot they faced in the second stanza.  Olds was able to find the back of the net twice more in the third and when the final buzzer sounded, it was 4-0 for the visitors.  Ireland Greenhough led the way for the Broncos with 2 goals while Sydney Jack chipped in two assists.  Jessika Charon stood tall in net for the Rattlers turning aside 23 of the 27 shots she faced.

The teams return to the Moose Arena ice today for an afternoon clash to close out the weekend.
