Red Deer, November 24, 2023 - The Olds College Broncos put a stop to the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens' eight-game winning streak with a 2-1 win on the road.

The Broncos would open the scoring just under two minutes into the game with forward Tessa Knisely (Open Studies) tucking it past goaltender Tora Ward (Open Studies) on the wrap-around attempt.

With just over five minutes left to play in the opening 20 minutes, forward Jailyn Bablitz (Bachelor of Education) tied the game up as she was able to trickle one past the Broncos goaltender after not getting everything on the shot. With the lone goal for the Queens, Bablitz was named the player of the game

After the opening 20 minutes, the Broncos outshot the Queens 11-8.

The second frame would go scoreless with RDP outshooting the Broncos 24-20 following the end of the period.
