TKU Eagles V. CUE Thunder Women's Basketball

On February 23, King's University Eagles women's basketball took on Concordia Thunder at The King's University Gym. 

With high anticipation, the Eagles and Thunder were ready to go head-to-head at 7 o'clock. 

In the first period, great defense from both teams. Thunder 11 Rachel Harvey made two fantastic three-pointers and 6 Jenna Rinsky also made a fantastic three-pointer. Thunder made many great passes, drives, and shots. Eagles had great rebounds, drives, and passes. Eagles 15 Jordana Rivet made a fantastic three-pointer, 13 Megan Aleman made many great layups, and 19 Aneilia Ayotte had many great blocks and shots. Thunder won the period 22-17.

In the second period, again both had great defense. Thunder made many fantastic passes and shots. Thunder 2 Hayley Cleland and 8 Chole DeKlerk made a beautiful three-pointers. Eagles 14 Kayla Soetaert made many great layups, 12 Alyssa Yorke made many great blocks and shots, 15 Jordana Rivet made many great layups and hook shots. Eagles won the period 35-34.

In the third period, again great defense and passes from both teams. Thunder 11 Rachel Harvey played great post and 8 Chole DeKlerk made many great layups and a three-pointer. Eagles 13 Megan Aleman made many fantastic layups, 15 Jordana Rivet made a beautiful three-pointer, and 3 Jamie Bunting had many great blocks and layups. Eagles and Thunder tied the score 50-50.

In the fourth period, again great defense and passes from both teams. Thunder 6 Jenna Rinsky made many beautiful layups. Eagles 13 Megan Aleman made many great layups and two fantastic three-pointers and 5 Ella Majeau made a fantastic block and a three-pointer. Eagles won the period and the game 70-64.

With high liveliness in the gym's atmosphere, both teams did a fantastic hardworking job in tonight's game.
