Lions Beat thunder at Home

In an electrifying showdown marking the last home game of the year for the Ambrose Lions, they clashed with the formidable Concordia Thunder in an intense women's basketball matchup.

The game kicked off with Concordia University of Edmonton surging ahead in the first quarter, dominating the court with a commanding lead of 21 points. However, the Ambrose Lions were not to be underestimated as they roared back in the second quarter, showcasing their resilience and narrowing the score gap.

As halftime approached, the Lions continued their relentless pursuit, outscoring their opponents in the third quarter and seizing the momentum of the game. With tensions high and the crowd on the edge of their seats, both teams battled fiercely in the final quarter.

Ultimately, it was the Ambrose Lions who emerged victorious, displaying unwavering determination and teamwork until the very end. With a final score of 66-60 in favor of the Lions, they celebrated a hard-fought triumph in their last home game of the season, leaving their fans cheering in delight.

The lions look ahead to playoffs next week where they will be taking on Briercrest.
