Early lead gives Trojans the win

Brook Baker had 27 points and 12 rebounds in the Trojans' 71-63 win over the Augustana Vikings at U of C Saturday.

The only other player in the game who could keep pace with the dynamic Baker was fellow Trojan Anegor Wol, who added 23 points and eight rebounds. Augustana (8-12) was led by Hanna McCarroll's 14-point game and 13 from Mackenzie Mrazik. SAIT finished the first quarter with a seven-point lead and the teams stayed close from that point on, Augustana even won the fourth quarter 18-16. Baker would not be stopped, however, scoring nine points in the final frame on 4-for-5 shooting. The game was the season finale for the Trojans, who missed the ACAC South playoffs. Augustana qualified for the post-season in the ACAC North.
