The Lightning, fueled by an early surge, seized control in the first half, heading into halftime with a commanding 34-26 lead, igniting the boisterous crowd in the gym, the largest of the season.

Susan Ayaa's breathtaking plays further electrified the atmosphere. Despite the valiant efforts of Adit Deng and Shanah Estangel for the Lightning, the Rustlers dominated the crucial fourth quarter, outscoring their opponents 21-8, sealing a stunning 70-59 victory.

Post-game, amidst the deafening applause, St. Mary's Lightning honored hall of fame inductee Montana Smith, adding a poignant touch to the evening.
