NWP Wolves host Lethbridge Kodiaks

NWP Wolves host Lethbridge Kodiaks for one Saturday evening game.  Kodiaks take a quick lead but with a basket from NWP's #6 Abby Crown, the Wolves take a 1 point lead 9-8 for NWP, 5:24 left in the 1st. Back to back baskets for Wolves #5 Makayla Porteous gives the Wolves a 4 point lead. Kodiaks come back and with 1:47 left in this exciting first quarter the score is 20-15 for Lethbridge. First quarter score is 22-15 for the Kodiaks.

Second quarter sees the Kodiaks remain in the lead. Lethbridge calls a time out score is 26-15 for the Kodiaks. Play returns with a basket from Kodiaks #9 Courtney Deemter. NWP calls a timeout. Score is 30-15 with 6:06 remaining. Kodiaks #11 Hannah Helton with back to back baskets, followed by a three pointer from NWP's #4 Gracie Reschke. Score is 37-21 for Lethbridge. Three pointer from Kodiaks #5 Emily Hall. Second quarter ends with the Kodiaks maintaining their lead, 41-22 over the Wolves.

Third quarter has started in the Wolves Den NWP's #6 Abby Crown with a 3 pointer. Kodiaks #11 Hanna Helton connects for 3 Kodiaks lead 50-25. Kodiaks remain in control of this third quarter and NWP remains behind. Score is 62-33 for the Kodiaks at the end of the third.

Fourth quarter action continues to see Lethbridge maintains their lead. NWP's #25 Kim Talavera get a basket for the Wolves. Aggressive plays from both teams as both teams battle it out. Lethbridge calls a time out at 2:24 remaining. Score 70-37 for the Kodiaks. 3 point shot form Kodiaks #20 Summer James and Lethbridge 75-40. Final score 77-40 for Lethbridge.
